Seeing a movie in the year 2000, when I was a younger project manager, helped me understand the practical relevance of project management and the fact that the tougher the circumstances the better and more granular the planning must be. This movie was titled, “Gone in 60 Seconds”, a movie that was about stealing 50 cars in just 4 days. Surprisingly it took a rather average movie, with over-the-top action and glitz to help me understand the true relevance and importance of project planning and the relationship between risk management and project resilience.
